We were ecstatic when we received these for review and wanted to jump on it!
But we contained our excitement and wanted to give these trucks a run for their money and see how they held up to everyday skating!
The Axis is constructed using 356 T6 aircraft grade aluminum, 4140 Chromoly steel axles, and hollow kingpins for some weight reductions.
We were searching for a truck that had a lighter weight but still could withstand the abuse from concrete slashing!
I believe our search is over!
Axis Truck Hanger Height
This truck has a classic look, with a steepened pivot angle and a noticeable turning radius, which threw me off guard at first with how quick the response was! The Axis comes with 88a medium bushings trackers that have been holding up just as well as the truck itself.
The hanger height on the Axis was our only concern with using larger wheels such as 60mm and up. This is due to Tracker lowering the height on these. We assembled the board using .25 risers and 60mm wheels to see how it would react to wheel bite.
Overall the wheel bite was minimal, and we may switch to some 57mm wheels to eliminate the wheel bite!
Tracker has built Quality products since 1975. And they are still manufactured in the USA!
