The Craftsmanship
Made from a premium quality 7-ply hard-rock maple, this board promises durability and an unparalleled skating experience.
For those curious about the technical aspects, here are the specifications:

Wheelbase: 15″
Truck Hole Pattern: LONG 4 – 2.5″ Old School
Deck Nose: 3.875″
Deck Tail: 7″
Shape: 150
Concave: SP3
One thing to note, however, is that this comes as a deck-only option. Griptape is not included, allowing you to personalize it as you see fit.
The Iconic Caballero Chinese Dragon Artwork
What truly sets this board apart from the rest is its iconic artwork. After a successful six-year stint in 1986, Caballero decided it was time for a makeover. The result? The captivating Cab Chinese Dragon design.
Drawing inspiration from a Chinese takeout box, the graphic was brilliantly brought to life by none other than VCJ (Vernon Courtlandt Johnson).
The Chinese Dragon was released on a new “fish” shape available in both full size and mini.
Both versions were manufactured using 7-ply maple, and some even boasted the “Bonite” construction.
However, much to the dismay of enthusiasts, the board was discontinued a year later in 1987.
A Nostalgic Re-Issue: Powell Peralta
Thanks to Powell Peralta, the board’s enduring charm wasn’t left in the past.
Their re-issue decks are a heartfelt nod to the 1980s, reproducing the original graphics, shape, and concave.
Made in collaboration with their partner in Mexico, these reissues are crafted with U.S. hard rock maple and high-quality glue.
What’s impressive is that these boards come with a warranty against delamination throughout their useful life. All designs, including this one, were lovingly created in Santa Barbara, CA.
